Loved Ones Great

When you see God moving in the lives of your loved ones you truly have something to rejoice and thank the Lord about.  When things are going well it's definitely time to thank the Lord for His grace and mercy towards you.  But you also want to remain prepared for situations that will challenge you and test your faith.  Remember not to become so confident when the circumstances of life are going well that you forget to keep your trust in God Himself.  Paul wrote in his letter to the Philippians:

"Whatever happens, my dear brothers and sisters, rejoice in the Lord. I never get tired of telling you these things, and I do it to safeguard your faith."  Philippians 3:1, NLT

Paul says it is safe to hear the same things over again.  It is safe to remember the instructions the Word of God gives you.  It's safe to continually rejoice, even if your loved ones do something that irritates you.  It's safe to keep the fruit of the Spirit growing in your life.

Often as soon as the pain of negative circumstances subsides then we stop going forward.  We get comfortable and we don't pursue the things of God as much.  We have the attitude that, "This is good enough" and we stop.  With our loved ones, we may be so happy with them accepting the Lord as Savior that we don't continue to pray for them in their spiritual growth.  Paul wrote to the Galatians:

"Oh, my dear children!  I feel as if I’m going through labor pains for you again, and they will continue until Christ is fully developed in your lives." Galatians 4:19, NLT

These people had believed in Jesus Christ but now he continued in intercessory prayer for them until Christ was fully developed in their lives.  I'm sure you know that just because your loved ones are Christians doesn't mean they're perfect.  Christ is still being formed in them and you can help them by keeping them in prayer.  If we would continue in prayer for each other until Christ was formed in all of us imagine how much stronger the body of Christ would be!

Let's thank the Lord for the place He's brought us and our loved ones to, but let's continue to pursue the things of God with a passion and pray for each other as we all continue to grow spiritually.

God Bless you and have a great day!
