The one thing about the love of God is that there's always room for more. The more we walk in His love the better things keep getting. We can learn much about the love of God by reading 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 in the Amplified Bible: "Love endures long and is patient and kind; love never is envious nor boils over with jealousy; is not boastful or vainglorious, does not display itself haughtily. It is not conceited--arrogant and inflated with pride; it is not rude (unmannerly), and does not act unbecomingly. Love [God's love in us] does not insist on its own rights or its own way, for it is not self-seeking; it is not touchy or fretful or resentful; it takes no account of the evil done to it--pays no attention to a suffered wrong. It does not rejoice at injustice and unrighteousness, but rejoices when right and truth prevail. Love bears up under anything and everything that comes, is ever ready to believe the best of every person, its hopes are fadeless under all circumstances and it endures everything [without weakening]." We need to grasp the reality of this kind of love--first of all that God has this kind of love for you--and then you need to realize that this is the same love that's been shed abroad in your heart by the Holy Spirit, (Romans 5:5), You have the ability to love others with this kind of love. When things are going well in your relationships, there is always room for more of the love of God. What makes a good relationship good is when both persons in the relationship get a hold of the love of God. When both persons realize 'it's more blessed to give than to receive' (Acts 20:35) then both are receiving the blessings of giving and the benefits of receiving! When both people get past being 'touchy, fretful or resentful' and quit taking account of the evil done to themselves then that relationship will get sweeter and sweeter as time goes on. "Your love for one another will prove to the world that you are my disciples.” John 13:35, NLT The love of God in our lives towards each other is the trademark of being a disciple of Jesus Christ. We are showing the nature and character of God when we live driven by this kind of love. This is the kind of love that the world is craving. We have it and we need to let others know that they can have it too!
God Bless you and have a great day!
