True spiritual victory doesn't come from the circumstances going on around you but from the assurance that all is well because God is a loving and merciful God who is faithful to His Word. You can rejoice in spiritual victory even while in the middle of what might seem to be devastating circumstances. It comes from knowing that God, in His love has made promises like these: "Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ,..." 2 Corinthians 2:14 "Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us." Romans 8:37 "Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world." 1 John 4:4 "For every child of God defeats this evil world, and we achieve this victory through our faith." 1 John 5:4, NLT I could go on and on with scriptures that show the faithfulness of God to deliver and bless His people. The important thing to remember is that you don't have to wait until certain things happen in your life before you can grab hold of the promises of God. In fact, if your opinion of whether you are in a spiritually good position or not is based on the circumstances around you then you will have difficulty as soon as your circumstances change. Your spiritual triumph is based on your relationship with the Lord, not with your circumstances. It's important to stay close to God and continue reading His Word whether things are going good or bad. When we are in the middle of a problem that's usually the time we cry out to God and dig into His Word to find promises of His deliverance. But the time to draw close to Him is now--while things are going well. It's time now to remember the good He's done for you and to thank Him for His faithfulness. The Lord gave the Israelites a word of caution before they entered into the Promised Land: “But that is the time to be careful! Beware that in your plenty you do not forget the Lord your God and disobey his commands, regulations, and decrees that I am giving you today." Deuteronomy 8:11, NLT Bless the Lord when all is well. Thank Him for what He's given to you. Remember that He is the one from where all good gifts come, (James 1:17). And don't ever forget the Source of your success! God Bless you and have a great day!
