"The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy.  My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life" John 10:10 NLT

This is Jesus talking.  His purpose is to give you a rich and satisfying life.  That does not describe a life of sickness.  Many times people think that God brings sickness or allows sickness to come on us for a certain purpose.  But we don't ever see a place where Jesus told anyone that God put a sickness or disease on them to fulfill a purpose of His.  We see where Jesus told His disciples that when the works of God are done in a person who is sick then God will be glorified, (John 9:3-4; John 11:4).  But the point is that Jesus healed them and God was glorified because of their healing!  He never told anyone, "I'm sorry, you'll have to bear this disease a little while longer."  He healed all who came to Him believing. 

"Is any sick among you?  let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him."  James 5:14-15

Who is initiating this whole thing?  It's the sick person isn't it?  The one who is sick is to call for the elders of the church to pray.   If it's the sick person initiating this then that means that God is not initiating this which means that He is not choosing some over others to be healed!  The prayer of faith is what will save the sick and the Lord shall raise him up!

In Matthew we read:

"That evening many demon-possessed people were brought to Jesus. He cast out the evil spirits with a simple command, and he healed all the sick. This fulfilled the word of the Lord through the prophet Isaiah, who said, “He took our sicknesses and removed our diseases.” Matthew 8;16-17 NLT

Jesus provided for physical healing just as much as He provided for salvation.  You may have to change your thinking to accept this.  You may have to come to a greater understanding of how much God loves you.  Begin to renew your mind with God's Word so you can get a hold of this and believe what He says about you concerning healing and health.
