"And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work" 2 Corinthians 9:8 God is able and willing to bless you so that you always have enough to abound in every good work. Jesus said in John 10:10 that the thief (the devil) is the one who kills, steals and destroys but Jesus came to give life and life abundantly. The devil would like you to think that God is the one killing, stealing and destroying but Jesus says otherwise! He came to give life and life abundantly! Prior to this verse Paul says: "But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully. Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver." 2 Corinthians 9:6-7 There's a principal of sowing and reaping that the Kingdom of God operates by. This spiritual law applies to finances as we see from these verses here. Jesus Himself said if we would give then it would be given unto us good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over would men give into our bosom. (Luke 6:38). When it comes to money, we need to learn to think like God thinks rather than how the world thinks. First and foremost we need to pay our tithes to our local church. In Malachi 3:8-12 we read that the first 10% of our income belongs to the Lord and that if we don't give Him that then we are robbing Him. (Actually it's not just the 10% tithe we rob Him of but it's offerings as well). He says to prove Him or test Him to see if He won't open the windows of Heaven and pour us out a blessing not room enough to receive. He also says He will rebuke the devourer for our sakes when we are obedient to Him concerning tithes and offerings. It's been said that your money will go further on the 90% after paying your tithes then it would on the 100% if you don't pay! This has been proven true over and over again! You can be confident that when you follow the Word of God, He is faithful to uphold His promises. God wants you to be blessed. When Jesus suffered and died for us, He not only suffered sin for our righteousness and sickness for our health but also poverty so we could have wealth! The key is to learn to follow His principles and do it His way instead of your own. "For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich." 2 Corinthians 8:9 When you think like God thinks and abide by the principals He's given us in His Word then you can expect the results He says to expect. And He desires for you to always have all sufficiency in all things so we may abound in every good work!
God Bless you and have a great day! |
