"Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree." Galatians 3:13 Jesus has redeemed you from the curse of the law. We read in Deuteronomy 28 that all sickness and disease is part of the curse of (breaking) the law. So Jesus has redeemed us from all sickness and disease! This doesn't just mean that one day when you go to Heaven you won't be sick. This means that while you are here on earth healing is available to you. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever, (Hebrews 13:8), so if He healed people here on earth when He was here 2000 years ago then it's His desire for people to be healed today. So how do you receive this promise? The Bible teaches that through faith and patience we inherit the promises, (Hebrews 6;12). It takes both faith in God and patience for the answer to come. The Bible says in Mark 11:23-24 that when we don't doubt in our heart but we believe that the things we say will come to pass then we will have whatever we say. This was Jesus talking about how to have faith in God. If we don't doubt in our heart but if we believe that what we say will come to pass then we will have whatever we say. What does it mean to not doubt with our heart? 1 John 3:20-22 tells us that if our heart doesn't condemn us then we have confidence toward God and whatever we ask we receive because we keep His commandments and do what is pleasing in His sight. So again, in our heart is where we have to believe and trust God and have confidence towards Him. How do we come to the point where we are convinced in our heart that we can pray and believe and receive an answer to that prayer? "And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of Him." 1 John 5:14-15 This confidence in our heart comes from knowing if we ask according to His will then He hears us and if we know that He hears us then we know that we have the petitions we desired of Him. The confidence in our heart comes from knowing that healing is God's will for us. How do know it's His will? The Bible tells us what His will is. The Word of God is the will of God. And it says in 3 John 2 that His will is for us to prosper and be in health even as our soul prospers! That's why Romans 10:17 tells us that faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God. We need to hear God's Word concerning healing in order to have the confidence in our heart that it's His will for us. When we are armed with that confidence then we have the faith in our heart we need in order to believe that we will have whatever we say as it says in Mark 11. This kind of confident faith is vital to our receiving answers to prayers. Hebrews 10:35-36 tells us not to cast away our confidence. It says that we need patience for when after we've done the will of God we will receive the promise. We need to exercise patience in order for us to see the answers to our prayers that this confident faith will bring. God Bless you and have a great day!
