You can come to a point in your spiritual growth where you become stagnant. You may feel that your growth spiritually has pretty much stopped and that you've hit a barrier and aren't sure how to continue. It's important that you press in and seek the Lord during times like these so you don't begin to slide backwards. Much like a car that didn't have enough power to make it up over the hill, it will just begin to slide backwards if it doesn't go forward. What you can do is to begin to search out all that the Lord Jesus has done for you and all that He's provided for by dying on the cross and paying the price for your sin. The more you understand what He has done the more grateful you will be and as you thank Him and worship Him for what He's done then the presence of God will fill you to overflowing! "But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel." Psalm 22:3 God inhabits the praises of His people! And where there is God's presence there is fullness of joy, (Psalm 16:11). You may not "feel like" worshipping God but the more grateful you are, the more you will. That's why it's good to remind yourself of what He has done for you. Stir up that gratitude! He is good and has chosen to sacrifice His Son for us so we could enter into His glorious kingdom. Hebrews 13:15 says to offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to His name. When it's revealed to your heart the vastness of His love and the depth of what Jesus has done you will truly be thankful and thanksgiving and worship will flow from your heart and lips. The fact that Jesus Christ has been made righteousness to you and that righteousness provides for things like deliverance from trouble and death, (Proverbs 11:4,8), blessings and wealth, (Proverbs 10:6, 13:22), favor from the Lord, (Proverbs 11:20, 12:2), and it provides for your desires to be granted, (Proverbs 10:24, John 15:7,11), you can't help but shout when you truly understand what that means! Press in to the Lord, remember what He's done, express your thankfulness and worship to Him even if you don't "feel" like it and watch your own spiritual growth take off! God Bless you and have a great day!
