Helping Those Who Help
1 Corinthians 16:15-16, 20

 

  1. I beseech you, brethren, (ye know the house of Stephanas, that it is the firstfruits of Achaia, and that they have addicted themselves to the ministry of the saints,)
  2. That ye submit yourselves unto such, and to every one that helpeth with us, and laboureth.
  1. All the brethren greet you. Greet ye one another with an holy kiss.

He tells them to submit to those who have given themselves to ministering to the saints.  The Amplified Bible says to "pay all deference to such leaders and to enlist under them and be subject to them".

We should do what we can to help those who are ministering to God’s people.   He includes every one that helps and labors with them.

If we come together to minister to people it’s much easier than if we try to do it on our own.  When everyone works together much more can be accomplished.  This also provides a fellowship with each other that bonds us together.

As we work together our love and affection for each other grows.

 

Confession:

I will help those who are helping other saints.  I will come together and work with God’s people knowing that together we can accomplish more for the Lord than we can separately.

Obedience is a tree of life!
