Sowing & Reaping
Galatians 6:7-10

7: Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.
8: For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.
9: And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.
10: As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.

This comes right after saying we should support those who minister to / teach us.   The sowing and reaping principal applies to every area of our lives, not just financial.  The context here implies that as we sow financially into the lives of those that instruct us in the Word then we will reap the benefits of them being able to minister in a greater way to us because they will not have to work at another job and will be free to devote more time to the ministry.

But the law of sowing and reaping applies to more than just that.  It’s a principal that works in every area of our lives whether we realize it or not.  "Whatever a man sows, that shall he also reap."  Will we sow to the flesh to feed the whims and desires of the flesh or will we sow to the Spirit?

We will reap the results of sowing to the spirit as long as we don’t faint.   Because of that we should do good to everyone as we have opportunity.  He says not to be deceived about this principal.  You will reap the results of what you sow—good or bad.

Confession:

I determine to sow good seed in every area of my life.  I determine to sow to the spirit and not to the flesh.  I will give to advance God’s purposes in as many ways as I can.  Whether financially, in prayer, in encouraging words, in helping or ministering to people, I will sow good seed.

Obedience is a tree of life!
