Foolish and Ignorant Speculations
2 Timothy 2:23

For "foolish and ignorant speculations" the Amplified Bible says, "trifling, ill-informed, unedifying, stupid controversies over ignorant questionings."  There may be those that present questions to us that can lead us off into discussions and debates over things that really aren’t important.

We need to keep everything in proper perspective and focus on the solid truths of the Word of God that we know to be true.  You’ve probably heard the term, ‘majoring in the minors’, meaning someone is excessively focused on things that really aren’t that important to the point of neglecting those things that are important.

The truths of the Word of God are extremely important and we need to ‘major’ in those truths and make sure we don’t allow foolish and ignorant speculations to bring strife and quarrels into our lives.

Confession:

I will avoid foolish and ignorant speculations.  I will focus on the solid Truth of the Word of God and not allow questions and debates to bring strife and quarrels into my life.
