Solid Truth
2 Timothy 1:13

  1. Hold fast the form of sound words, which thou hast heard of me, in faith and love which is in Christ Jesus.

Sound words are the Truth of the Gospel, the truths of the Word of God.  God’s Word doesn’t change.  The truths of God’s Word are solid and unchangeable.

It’s not correct that one thing would be true yesterday in a previous generation and then another thing be true today in this generation.  The truth is the truth and it is unchanging.  There may be different customs and different ‘norms’ in society but the Truth does not change.

We are to hold fast to the unchanging truths of the Gospel, even if it is not popular in our society.  We need to be able to stand on something that will be solid forever.  Thank God that He has given us His unchanging Word because we need solid ground to stand on and sound words that are true!

 

Confession:

The Word of God is solid, unchanging Truth.  I will hold fast to the sound teachings of the Word.  Thank-You Father for giving me Your solid unchanging Word to stand on and hold fast to in an ever changing world.
