Guard through the Spirit
2 Timothy 1:14

Again Paul says to keep or guard the good thing or the treasure which has been entrusted to him.  If we have to guard something then that means it would be possible to lose it.  There is a treasure entrusted to each of us.  God has blessed each of us with Himself.  We’ve been given His life as we believe in the Lord Jesus and along with that comes a great treasure for each of us.

We, by the Holy Spirit who dwells within us, are to guard this treasure.  The Holy Spirit is our Helper, our Comforter, and with His help, His insight, guidance and prayer through the Spirit we can successfully keep that which is committed to our trust.

God does not leave us to fend for ourselves once we come to Him through Jesus Christ. He equips us through the power of His Spirit.  Thank God He does!

Confession:

I will guard the treasure the Father has entrusted to me through the power of the Holy Spirit.  Father, I thank You for Your Son Jesus Christ, in Whom I believe and Your Holy Spirit sent to help me.
