He says here that we look for new heavens and a new earth where there is righteousness.  We’re looking forward to that day when we can live in a society that lives according to God's Kingdom principles.  A society that wants to be free from sin.  Are you looking forward to that kind of society?  He says here that since you are then you should be eager for Him to find you without spot or blemish when He comes.  You should be putting a lot of effort into being blameless and at peace when He comes.  

God knows that you're not able to do everything perfectly.  But He's looking at your heart--at your desires.  Do you want to overcome selfishness and arrogance?  Do you want to live free from the sinful behavior that has ruled your life in the past?  You will have a greater desire to live free from these things the more you understand and receive God’s love for you.  As you realize how much He loves you and what He’s done for you then you will be eager to please Him.  You will look forward to Him finding you without spot or blemish.  And thank God you can do that because Jesus paid the price for your sin! 

Confession:

I will be eager to be found of the Lord without spot or blemish.  I want my desires to be what God's desires are.  I will diligently pursue His love so I will want to please Him.
