Love not the World
1 John 2:15

  1. Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world.  If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

If you love the world and the things that are in the world, meaning if you value and pursue the things of the world rather than the things pertaining to the Kingdom of God, then you are not living in the love of God.

He says in verse 16 what is in the world—the lust of the flesh, lust of the eyes, and the pride of life.  The attitude of the world is full of lust, greed and pride.  It’s a selfish attitude that revolves around all of your goals and pursuits and drives you to build a kingdom for yourself.  But the Kingdom of God operates by the love of the Father.  As you live your life according to Kingdom principals instead of worldly principals you are pleasing your Heavenly Father and you’ll live a much happier, more productive and successful life as well.

Remember that what you love and what your goals are show what is in you and where your heart is.

Confession:

I will not love and pursue the things of the world but I will love the things of God and live my life according to His Kingdom principals.

Obedience is a tree of life!
