Casting All Your Care
1 Peter 5:7

What a comfort it is to know that God cares for you!  He tells you to cast all your cares—the whole of your care, all your anxieties, worries and concerns—once and for all upon Him because He cares for you.

Knowing that He cares for you enables you to cast your cares and worries on Him because you know you can trust Him with those things.  It would be difficult to cast your cares on Him if you didn’t know how much He cared for you and loved you.  If you don’t know His faithfulness as well as His delivering power then it’s difficult to know that you can trust Him to take care of your problems.

You don’t cast your cares on Him as a way of ignoring or neglecting your problems but you do it because you know He has the solution to them and He will help you to work them out and do what only He can on your behalf.  You do this not only by faith in Him but also by understanding His great love for you!

Father God, I cast all my cares, concerns, worries and anxieties upon you once and for all knowing that You care for me and are working on my behalf.
