December 9 2 Peter 3:8
Peter is talking about the promises of God and God being One who keeps His Word. It doesn’t matter to God if He spoke something a thousand years ago or a day ago. He does not forget what He said or what He promised. If it seems like it’s taking a long time for something to happen and you’re thinking God must have forgot He said something because it’s been such a long time, then know that He doesn’t forget these things. In this scripture, he’s specifically talking about the last days, the end of the world and the judgment to come on the ungodly. Judgment will come. The Lord isn’t slack concerning His promises, but He’s patient because He wants everyone to be saved. And He's faithful to keep all of His promises this same way. God knows what He’s said. He knows what He’s promised and He watches over His Word to perform it. We need to know for a fact that God is faithful to do what He said.
Confession: I will not be ignorant of the fact that one day with the Lord is as a thousand years and a thousand years is as a day. He doesn’t forget to keep His Word no matter how long ago it was spoken.
Obedience is a tree of life!
