Judgments & Criticisms
Romans 14:1-3

1: Him that is weak in the faith receive ye, but not to doubtful disputations.
2: For one believeth that he may eat all things: another, who is weak, eateth herbs.
3: Let not him that eateth despise him that eateth not; and let not him which eateth not judge him that eateth: for God hath received him.

Pay attention to your opinion of those whom you consider to be ‘weaker in faith’.  Those who don’t see things exactly as you do and maybe seem to have some limitations in their walk with the Lord that you don’t necessarily have.

He says here not to criticize anyone because of their viewpoint on what they can eat or drink or what days they consider important.  He also says not to judge anyone who seems to have more freedom or is more ‘liberal’ in their walk with the Lord.

Rather, all of us should be looking to please God and walk according to the conviction of His Word in our own heart and not worry about what each other’s limitations are.

Confession:

I will serve God and live to please Him.  I will not concern myself with my brother or sister’s opinions regarding diets and holy days.  I won’t criticize and I won’t judge.

Obedience is a tree of life!
