Yield to Righteousness
Romans 6:19

  1. I speak after the manner of men because of the infirmity of your flesh: for as ye have yielded your members servants to uncleanness and to iniquity unto iniquity; even so now yield your members servants to righteousness unto holiness.

He says to yield your members-or more specifically your body--as a servant to righteousness.  You used to sin with your body but now you are to live righteously instead.  You are to do good with your body and not sin.  You’ve been brought out of the law not so you can keep sinning but so you can have fellowship with God.  Now that Jesus paid the price for you, you have the privilege of being able to enjoy His presence because sin is not ruling over you and separating you from Him any longer.

It goes on to say in verse 23 that the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.  Sin makes you work and then rewards you with death.  But God gives you a free gift of eternal life through Jesus Christ!

Confession:

I no longer serve sin, but I serve God and will have the fruit of holiness in my life as a result.  I yield myself as a servant of righteousness and not of sin.  I enjoy His presence and everlasting life as a result!

Obedience is a tree of life!
