July 11 1 Timothy 2:8
8: I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.
"I desire therefore, that in every place men should pray, without anger or quarreling or resentment or doubt [in their minds,] lifting up holy hands." He’s saying not to pray with wrath or anger or with an attitude of vengeance. And not with doubting, discussion or debate. But to pray everywhere lifting up our holy hands. When we are quick to pray, rather than quick to anger or debate, much more will be accomplished for God. As we pray and lift up our hands to Him, we are in an attitude of thankfulness, trust, worship and surrender to Him. That is an atmosphere God can move in.
Confession: I will be quick to pray and trust my Heavenly Father. I’ll not yield to an attitude of anger, vengeance or debates or discussions, but I’ll worship and trust my Heavenly Father in all situations.
Obedience is a tree of life!
