From God’s Point of View
Colossians 3:1-2

 

  1. If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.
  2. Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.

 

If we are risen with Christ—and we are risen with Him if we’ve believed in Him and have invited Him into our life—then we are to seek those things which are above where He sits.  We are risen with Him and we are seated with Him in the heavenly places (Ephesians 2:6).

Because of that we need to put our mind on heavenly things, not on earthly things.  In other words we need to think like He does.  We need to see things from a heavenly perspective.  We need to look at our lives and the things on the earth from God’s point of view, not from our view down here on earth.

As we seek after those things which are above and put things in proper perspective we’ll be able to live our lives the way God intends.  We’ll be able to bring Heaven to earth and we’ll see God’s will be done in the earth as it is in Heaven.

 

Confession:

I am risen with Christ! Because of that I will seek those things that are above.  I will set my mind and affection on heavenly things.  I will look at things from God’s perspective so His will will be done in the earth.

Obedience is a tree of life!
