Spiritual Leaders
1 Thessalonians 5:12-13

 

  1. Now also we beseech you, brethren, get to know those who labor among you—recognize them for what they are, acknowledge and appreciate and respect them all—your leaders who are over you in the Lord, and those who warn and kindly reprove and exhort you.
  2. And hold them in very high and most affectionate esteem in [intelligent and sympathetic] appreciation of their work. Be at peace among yourselves. (Amplified Bible)

 

We need to know those who are our leaders in the Lord.  Whether it’s our Pastor or some other person(s).  We need to know and recognize our spiritual leaders for who they are and esteem and appreciate them.

It’s safe to have those who will watch out for us and will correct us and encourage us in the things of the Lord.  We need each other in the body and we need those to help keep us on the right path (Although we must always be careful who we receive instruction from and be sure they are correct themselves).

Those who labor and work in the ministry and are our true spiritual leaders we need to listen to and respect their advice.

 

Confession:

I will know and recognize those spiritual leaders the Lord has set over me.  I will esteem them and appreciate their ministry and receive instruction or correction from them in the Lord.

 

Obedience is a tree of life!
