June 25 1 Thessalonians 5:14-15
We are to help those who are struggling in the body of Christ. If they’re out of line we’re told to warn them. If they’re faint-hearted or weak spiritually we’re told to comfort and support them. And we’re told to be patient toward everyone. Instead of getting upset or impatient with those in the body that are not walking with the Lord exactly how they should be (or how we think they should be), we need to be patient with them and give them comfort or instruction as needed. He says not to repay an evil with evil. If someone does wrong to you, don’t repay them by doing wrong back. Always look to do good to others no matter who they are or what they’ve done. This is the example Jesus set for us and what we are to follow after.
Confession: I will help those who are struggling in the body of Christ giving comfort, support, instruction or warning as needed. I will be patient in my dealings with everyone and will not repay evil with evil. I look to do good to everyone.
Obedience is a tree of life!
