28: But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup. Paul says to partake of communion in a way that is worthy of the Lord. The Lords Supper is meant to be a reminder of what Jesus has done for you through His broken body and shed blood. It’s not to be a meal just like any other meal. An example of this may be an attitude of remembrance, respect and reverence towards the Lord for what He went through for you.Paul goes on to say that because of a careless attitude during the partaking of communion, many among them were weak and sickly and had even died. He says its better to judge yourself then to be divinely judged.
Confession: I will partake of communion as a remembrance of what the Lord Jesus Christ has done for me. I will examine my own heart and remember His broken body and shed blood when partaking of the Lord’s Supper with reverence and respect.
Obedience is a tree of life!
