March 26 33: Be not deceived; evil communications corrupt good manners. Prior to this verse Paul is reinforcing the fact that Christ is risen from the dead. Some of them at Corinth were saying that there is no resurrection of the dead. Paul is emphasizing the truth that Christ indeed is risen. Not only is He risen but those who believe in Him will live with Him after death as well. If you weren't going to live after death then what is the purpose of your living? What is the purpose of dying to yourself and living for Him if nothing happens after you die?Then in this verse he says, don’t be deceived! Keeping company and associating with evil will corrupt good character. Don’t hang out and associate with those who teach contrary to this or it will corrupt your thinking and your lifestyles.
Confession: I will not be deceived! I will not associate with evil and expect that it will not affect my Christian lifestyle.
Obedience is a tree of life!
