March 27 34: Awake from your drunken stupor and return to sober sense and your right minds, and sin no more. For some of you have not the knowledge of God—you are utterly and willfully and disgracefully ignorant, and continue to be so, lacking the sense of God’s presence and all true knowledge of him. I say this to your shame. Paul is still discussing those who think they can sin because they don’t believe in life after death. He encourages them to wake up and think sensibly. The King James says to "awake to righteousness and sin not." They didn’t have the true knowledge of God. They were ignorant of the truth and that caused them to sin. Ignorance of the truth can cause you to be deceived and as a result you may have sin in your life that is displeasing the Lord. Seek for an accurate understanding of God's Word and to not be misled by false teachings.
Confession: I will seek after the true knowledge of God so that I will not be deceived or be in error in my beliefs.
