13: Watch, stand fast in the faith, be brave, be strong. (New King James) Watch: Be alert and on guard. Don’t let your guard down. There’s an enemy out there looking to get a foothold. Stand fast in the faith: Don’t let loose of your convictions and beliefs. Your faith keeps you standing on solid ground. Be Brave: Don’t be a wimp. Be willing to stand up for what you believe in and don’t back down. Be Strong: Hold up under whatever comes along. The Amplified Bible says to "grow in strength". Your strength will grow as it’s used and will not weaken. Paul gives these words as he’s concluding his letter to the Corinthians. These are words for you to hang on to as you go about your daily life. As you leave your comfort zone and go out into your everyday life you need these words to hang on to so you can overcome in the daily battles of life.
Confession: I will be alert. I will stand firm in faith. I will be brave and strong concerning the things of God. I am determined to go forward and accomplish the will of God in my life!
Obedience is a tree of life!
