Flee from Idolatry
1 Corinthians 10:13-14

13: There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.
14: Wherefore, my dearly beloved, flee from idolatry.

Since God is faithful to provide a way of escape for any and all temptations that come your way, then he says to flee from idolatry.  There is no reason to give in to it because God has given you what you need.  He’s given you the strength to get through and to find the way out.

The Amplified Bible in verse 14 says of idolatry, "of loving or venerating anything more than God."  Venerating is basically respecting and courteously submitting or yielding to another.

To love, respect or submit to anything more than to God would be idolatry.

Confession:

I will flee from idolatry.  I have no reason and no desire to love, respect or submit to anyone or anything more than God Almighty.  Thank You Father for providing Jesus Christ and for providing strength and a way of escape for every temptation.

Obedience is a tree of life!
