Judge what I say
1 Corinthians 10:15

15: I speak as to wise men; judge ye what I say.

15: I am speaking as to intelligent sensible men. Think over and make up your minds for yourselves about what I say. –I appeal to your reason and your discernment in these matters. (Amplified Bible)

He says to "judge what I say".  He’s saying that if they would think about what he’s saying it would make sense.  The Amplified says, "I appeal to your reason and discernment in these matters."  The Lord wants you to think sensibly about things.  Just because you want to be spiritual and listen to your heart to hear Him doesn’t mean that you totally throw out your ability to reason things through.  Of course the Bible also says to renew your mind to God’s way of thinking by studying His Word but God gave you your mind.  He made you with a brain.  And in this instance Paul tells them to think reasonably about what he’s saying concerning participating in something that’s contrary to worshiping and exalting the Lord Jesus Christ.

Confession:

God has given me the ability to reason and think.  I will use my mind to think and judge according to what is true and right.  I determine to renew my mind with God’s Word so I can think sensibly and yet still listen to the Spirit of God leading me within my heart.

Obedience is a tree of life!
