Use Freedom Wisely
1 Corinthians 10:23-24

23: All things are legitimate—permissible, and we are free to do anything we please; but not all things are helpful (expedient, profitable and wholesome). All things are legitimate, but not all things are constructive to character and edifying to spiritual life.
24: Let not one then seek his own good and advantage and profit, but rather let him seek the welfare of his neighbor each one of the other(Amplified Bible)

The Lord has given us freedom but not everything is advantageous.  Not everything is constructive in building or promoting godly purposes.  Because of this, we’re told not to seek for our own good and profit but to seek the welfare of one another.

Consider other people when you behave a certain way and do certain things in front of them.  This doesn’t mean you compromise your beliefs for the sake of unity.  But it means you are looking out for the spiritual growth and welfare of those around you.  It means you have enough concern and compassion for others that you don’t want anything you do to be misunderstood.  So you are willing to sacrifice something for the sake of others, rather than having an uncaring attitude about the effects of your actions on others.

Confession:

I will seek to edify the spiritual lives of those around me.  I will not be selfish and uncaring but I will pay attention to my actions and build rather than destroy what God is doing in the lives of those around me.

Obedience is a tree of life!
