Making the Most of our Time
Ephesians 5:15-17

  1. Look carefully then how you walk! Live purposefully and worthily and accurately, not as the unwise and witless, but as wise—sensible, intelligent people;
  2. Making the very most of the time—buying up each opportunity—because the days are evil.
  3. Therefore do not be vague and thoughtless and foolish, but understanding and firmly grasping what the will of the Lord is. (Amplified Bible)

It’s God’s desire for us to "firmly grasp" what His will is.  He doesn’t want us to not understand what’s going on.  He wants us to know what He wants to do in our lives.  As we do, we can purposefully, accurately and intelligently work towards what He’s called each one of us to do.

We can make the most of every opportunity if we know what His plan for our life is.  In order to do that we must seek Him.  We need to spend time with Him and allow Him to reveal to us His purposes in our lives.  We do that through study of the Word, (which helps us to hear His voice), and prayer.

Confession:

Father God, show me Your plan for my life.  Show me Your will for my life so I can live a life that will accomplish what You want me to do.  I will spend time seeking the Lord for this purpose.

Obedience is a tree of life!
