Not Afraid of Threats
1 Peter 3:13-14

  1. And who is he that will harm you, if ye be followers of that which is good?
  2. But and if ye suffer for righteousness’ sake, happy are ye: and be not afraid of their terror, neither be troubled.

For the most part if we do that which is good, people will not bother us.  But if they do and we suffer trouble of some sort for righteousness sake we are happy or blessed (We may not seem to be blessed at the time but if God says we’re blessed then I’ll agree with Him!).

What He tells us to do in those situations is not to be afraid of their terror (or threats and intimidation), and not to be troubled or disturbed by them.  We don’t have to have fear or anxiety because of people who disagree with us or oppose us and our beliefs.  We don’t have to be afraid of people’s threats, intimidation or efforts against us.  We have the Greater One living inside of us!

God wouldn’t tell us not to be afraid of them and then not be with us during these types of difficult times.  He is always with us and we don’t have to fear or have anxiety.

Confession:

I will not be fearful or have anxiety concerning those who may threaten or intimidate me for righteousness’ sake.  I have the Greater One in me and I put my trust in Him!

Obedience is a tree of life!
