Honest Conduct
1 Peter 2:12

  1. Having your conversation honest among the Gentiles: that, whereas they speak against you as evildoers, they may by your good works, which they shall behold, glorify God in the day of visitation.

To have our "conversation honest" means to conduct ourselves honestly or properly.  We need our behavior to be godly even among those who disagree with us and who speak against us as evildoers.

It’s easy to be full of the love and goodness of God when you’re around those who agree with you and love and accept you.  But when you’re around those who speak against you and what you do, then it’s more difficult to behave correctly around them.  But by keeping our behavior consistent with the Word of God, in the end they may come to glorify God.  They may see that our actions were of God.

 

Confession:

I will behave according to the Word of God even among those who don’t agree with the Word and who speak against me.

Obedience is a tree of life!
