November 6 1 Peter 2:17
We should be showing honor or respect to everyone. We’ll naturally have a greater love and concern for our fellow brothers and sisters within the body of Christ but we should be showing respect to everyone whether they are a Christian or not. We don’t need to submit to the world’s beliefs or way of living. In fact, we are told to come out from among them and be separate (2 Corinthians 6:17). We’re told not to love the world or the things in it (1 John 2:15). But we need to treat everyone with respect and extend the love of God towards all. Jesus died for unbelievers as well as for us and He would love to have them in His family as well. We don’t want to condone or endorse beliefs contrary to the Word of God, but we do want to treat people with respect no matter who they are.
Confession: I will honor or respect everyone. I will love my fellow brothers and sisters in the Lord. I will fear or reverence God and honor or respect the authority in the land.
Obedience is a tree of life!
