22. I call on you, brethren, to listen patiently and bear with this message of exhortation and admonition and encouragement, for I have written to you briefly. Amplified Bible

The writer of Hebrews urges his fellow believers to bear with this word of exhortation he’s written to them.  We need to remember that the Word of God given to us is profitable to us.  The Word of God is full of life.  As we pursue our study of His Word we will come to know Him in a greater way.  If it seems overwhelming at all to study His Word and to pursue a relationship with Him through the Word of God, we still need to stick with it because our persistence will bring great joy and abundance of life.

If it seems cumbersome to study His Word we are urged to bear with it.  The Word of God exhorts us.  The Word of God calls us near to Him and encourages and strengthens us in our walk with the Lord.  Our persistence and diligence in the Word of God will bring the great blessing of a closer relationship with the Lord.

Confession:

I will bear with the study of God’s Word.  I will continue to pursue God through the study of His Word.  I will draw near to Him and receive a closer relationship with Him as a result.
