Provoke Unto Love
Hebrews 10:24

  1. And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:

Other translations use the words "stimulate" or "incite" for provoke.  To provoke someone to love doesn’t mean that we see how much we can irritate them to see if they’ll still love us!

It means that we should consider how we can stir up or urge others to love and good works.  It means we are supportive of each other and a source of encouragement and strength for others when it comes to walking in love and doing good deeds.

Rather than being a source of irritation to others in the body of Christ we need to be a source of encouragement to do the will of God.  It’s much easier if we will work together to accomplish God’s purposes instead of being critical and competitive of others in the body!

Confession:

I will consider how I can provoke or urge others to love and good deeds.  I will not be competitive and critical of others in the body of Christ but I will be a source of encouragement and strength.

Obedience is a tree of life!
