Never Leave
Hebrews 13:5

  1. Let your character or moral disposition be free from love of money—[including] greed, avarice, lust and craving for earthly possessions—and be satisfied with your present [circumstances and with what you have]; for He (God) Himself has said, I will not in any way fail you nor give you up nor leave you without support. [I will] not, [I will] not, [I will] not in any degree leave you helpless, nor forsake nor let [you] down, [relax My hold on you]. –Assuredly not! (Amplified Bible).
  1. Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.

We can be free from covetousness and be content and satisfied because God has said He will never leave us or forsake us.  He will not fail us or leave us without support.  He will not leave us helpless or let us down.  He will not relax His hold on us!

We can count on the fact that God is faithful to stay with us and be with us no matter what. No matter what!  He doesn’t leave us stranded and abandoned.  Because of that we can live without greed and lusting after earthly things and we can be satisfied and content with what we have.  When we have God with us we are without lack.  In His presence there is no lack.  When God is with us we don’t need anything else.  He is all we need!

 

Confession:

I will not live with greed and be covetous of earthly things.  I will live content and be satisfied.  I realize God is always with me and will never leave me.  He is all I need.

 

 

Obedience is a tree of life!
