Hold Fast Our Profession
Hebrews 4:14

The Amplified Bible says to let us hold fast our "confession [of faith in Him]."  We are able to hold fast our profession or confession because of the fact that He is passed into the heavens.  He has rose from the dead victoriously and has ascended into Heaven!  Because of that we have something solid to base our faith in.

The work that Jesus did and what He accomplished is something solid to base our faith on.  We can trust in Him because He successfully accomplished what He set out to do.  Because of what Jesus did we can hold fast without wavering or doubting.  We can hold fast to our confession of faith in Him and receive all that He’s provided for us.

Jesus accomplished much for us by His death and resurrection and we can hold fast because He is our great High Priest that was sacrificed on our behalf.

Confession:

I will hold fast to my confession of faith in Jesus Christ.  I will hold fast to my profession of Him.  I can do so because He successfully accomplished what He set out to do and provided life and life abundantly for me!
