Come Boldly
Hebrews 4:16

We can come boldly to the Throne of Grace because of what he just said in the preceding verses.  Because we have a Great High Priest, who ascended victoriously, who was tempted in every way like we are, yet did not sin.  Because of Jesus Christ overcoming sin and overcoming temptations and rising victoriously from the grave, having paid the price for all our sin, because of all that, we can come boldly to the Throne of Grace!

We can come to the place before God where we can receive mercy and grace to help in time of need.  We don’t need to live a life defeated by sin and bound and oppressed by the devil.  We can boldly come to God’s throne and receive the help we need to overcome, because of our Great High Priest—Jesus Christ!

Confession:

Thank You Jesus for overcoming sin.  Thank You for all that You did for me so now I don’t have to live a life defeated and bound by sin and oppression.  I can boldly come to the Throne of Grace and obtain the help I need.
