Free Words?

"No matter what we always seem to have more bills than money."

"I get the flu every year."

"Well, my kids will never amount to anything."

"If she says anything to me I’ll give her a piece of my mind and it won’t be pretty!"

How much do these kinds of words cost us?  You may think there is no price tag on the words we speak.  Words are free right?  You can just say what you want, when you want and it doesn’t cost you anything right?  Wrong.

Words are like merchandise that is either bought or sold.  When you are always saying that you don’t have enough, you are spending your words and it is costing you.  Those words are costing you.  There is a price attached to them and a bill is coming!  But when you speak the Word of God and words that are in agreement with the Word of God than you are selling your words and it is increasing you.  There is a blessing attached to those words and a check is coming!

Words are not free.  There is a price to them.  But the question is, are you spending or selling?  Are you speaking life or death?

When we get our ‘word bills’ in the mail we wonder why we can’t pray them away and why we always seem to be stuck in the rut of debt and lack, or sickness, or strife etc.  It’s because we’ve already spent those words and now we’re getting the bill for them.  We are reaping what we have sown!

It’s time to quit spending our words and start selling them.  By speaking God’s Word and words that agree with His Word, we are speaking words of life that will bring blessing and increase to us rather than death and destruction.  Jesus said:

"…the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life." John 6:63

Jesus, the Word of God made flesh, said that His Words are spirit and life.  Words are not just a physical thing.  In fact, words are not physical at all.  They are spiritual.  And the Word of God is not only spiritual but life as well.

Learn to speak in line with the Word of God and bring life and increase into your life instead of death and destruction!
